A man pitched me in sams club and I signed up to get my energy supply from Just Energy, he was super nice and was very knowledgeable, and it saved me on my bill while giving me gift cards! I would get a membership to Sams just for the electric! |

Scam
The way the plan was explained it was nothing Ive received. Prior to this plan my bill was roughly $238.00 a month my first billing came with just Energy was $552, called to cancel and dispute. They way the billing is setup and my carrier bill Ive had 3 cycles total even once canceled. My bill is sitting at a whopping $1458.00 and its nobodys fault BGE or just energy. Im expected to pay and cant get assistance because I dont have a cutoff notice. Talk about pissed!! |

I wish I had just kept walking
They manage to double what I was paying for the price of my energy bill. it's over .14! when you can easily go to website to shop of energy supplier and find it for .09 cent! I should had known better than to trust quick talking sales person at Sam's Club. |

Worst experience
Signed up with Just Energy at Sam's Club, MD based on the sales pitch from a woman portraying to be a JE agent, saying that I would be saving a lot of money by paying almost half the cost per kwh of what I am paying with the current provider. Then she showed me a comparison between the current price that I am paying versus the JE bill. Apples to apples. She showed it on her iPad. JE's bill was lower by $100. I went ahead and signed with JE. She also told me there is no obligation to cancel. No fees charged. It turned out when the first month bill came JE charged me $100 more than what my normal bill was. Instead of seeing a reduction over my monthly bill I saw an increase by $100. Immediately I called my old utility company and had them switch from JE. Since I was already into the second month, JE charged me $100 plus another $50 for the half month. It's a good thing that I caught this early otherwise they would lock me in for three years with no way out and if I ever wanted to get out, there would be early termination fees. I immediately called the JE customer service and they told me that I should have read the fine print of the contract. I believed the sales agent's words when she showed me the price difference. What the agent never mentioned was that the JE would charge in addition to what I am paying monthly. How would that help me? Why would I switch to another utility provider if it does not benefit me? Why do I want to pay an extra $100 or more every month? This is a simple common sense question. Switching I thought would help me reduce the monthly payment. JE did not refund the money that I paid them nor did I ever receive the gift cards from them. This is a big scam. The lesson learned here is to never sign up from a third party energy supplier, especially at the Sam's Club. Do your research. I came to buy groceries at Sam's Club and not to shop for energy suppliers. Sam's Club should not allow this type of scammer at their stores. I've lost almost $200 for no reason and not to mention the pain and suffering. Who is responsible for my money loss? Does Sam's Club refund my money? |
