Truly enjoy Inspire
My bill was relatively consistent with what I had before and I got not only a gift card but a refund on my bill for what I was already doing. Highly recommend trying Inspire and getting rewarded for paying your bills and it is so simple to switch to another company offering rewards. |

So worth it
I didn't know that delmarva was switching my supplier and my bill shot up to over $300. I love inspire energy the unlimited plan has saved me so much money and it's such a relief to know exactly what my bill is going to be each month. Helping the environment is just an added bonus.. I suggested it to all my family and friends. |

Great Service With lower cost.
Someone knocked on the door, it was a representative who educated me on the benefits of clean energy. I did the Subscription for 12 months and was pleased with the experience. My bill was lower and the 3rd month was free too (the supply portion). I highly recommend it for anyone skeptical about the service. |

SCAMMERS!!!!
I never signed up for this and I had no knowledge of this company!!! You dont need a 3rd party for your electric. I just moved into my place and my electric bill is very low even in this summer heat my bill was only $200 and thats with everything on and running so this next month I received a new bill and its saying I owe $1200 and 90% of that amount is for new inspire supply charges smh remind you I NEVER signed up for anything or authorize any other company! So i called Pepco and they said I have to call inspire so I had to google the number because I didnt even know what company it is and when I contacted them they told me I had to email a copy of bill because they dont even see an account for me smh so now Im waiting for a manager to remove the charges from my bill and to call me back! These people are scammers and whoever decided to go with them I hope and pray you dont have to pay that amount for supply charges so for anyone please avoid this company and also look at your bill to see if there is a difference in the amount of charges. |

Absolutely Horrible!
Inspire is a total rip off. They never explained that they put me on an unlimited plan, charged me a crazy amount of money every month, and after speaking to a Pepco rep he said that I didn't use half the energy that I paid, for was gone the entire month on June and my bill never changed. Just awful, I will never use them again. |

Straight Shady
Beware at all costs. There pricing is a scam to get you signed up. And since there is this strange relationship with BGE and electric providers, you don't get the real information in your billings about how the supplier is charging. I had to cancel my service because they stated they could not honor the price they promised at the time of new service. They agreed not to charge a cancellation fee, but they still did. And since it's thru BGE billings... it's would be a pain in the neck to resolve. I'm just glad to free from such a shady company. And yes, there were others aspects of my dealings with them that add to their shadiness (but I'd rather not type out a full article for these bums). Good luck all. |

Literally thieves
A rep from this company opened an account in my name without my permission and stole hundreds of dollars. After reading other reviews, this seems like their standard practice If you're able, please report them to the FTC to prevent this from happening to others. It's a really quick and easy process https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/ |

Inspire energy is a ripe off
I signed up for 3 months at $94.99 per month. They would not tell me what the renew rate would be. After about one month they sent me a renew notice for around $360 / month - automatic renew. I notified them and said I did not want to renew and so they stopped my service about 2 months early. I asked them to keep our agreement for the 3 month period, but they said they could not do that. My final bill was a little higher than it should have been. This is a RIPE OFF !!!! |

Ridiculously overpriced and no trial period as promised by salesperson in BJS
I was conned into trying this company by a salesperson in BJS..was promised it was only to get pricing information yet looks like they already started my account without my consent!! Bge dropped us and now they want us to pay TWICE the amount we did before! INSANITY they want $419.99 a month I will be fighting this and telling everyone I know to stay away from your company. Bad business practice and feel like Ive been conned into something I could never AFFORD |

Ridiculous and False that they are saving you money!!
I was approachd by representative outside my house. He assured me that only was it cleaner more reliable energy but, it was going to cost me less on my energy bill. That is not true the one time that you get any kind of a discount is when they charge the 6999 or whatever it is on that first month as opposed to whatever the charges for the supply. The distribution which comes through your carrier in my case BG&E whether its budget billing or not its always through them also the gas is always for them which I also did not understand. This company is basically scamming you and charging you as much as $.12 a kilowatt as opposed to eight cents on my PG&E. When I asked the lady if you want to keep me as a customer And asked how are you helping me she just goes back to that its a reliable energy source. Pain in my ass, not very helpful and lost my business |

Pain In The $#% Scam
from

Misleading
They mention a flat rate, but it only applies to the "supply" cost on your electric bill, you still have to pay the delivery/distribution charges and taxes to your normal energy provider (as indicated by their contract/terms and conditions). At least in my case, this would have resulted in my total electric bill being much more expensive than it is currently. If you happen to get coerced while you are out there, you have 3 days to rescind/cancel (at least in Maryland, may vary by state), so it should be easy enough to undo any damage. |

Do your research
A very nice person came to the door today saying a lot of stuff has been coming out in the mail, but that they understand customers have not been reading their mail. I am interested in going green, but know enough to beware. I promised to research this - which I just did. If I switched to the plan I was looking at, my cost per kWh would have increased from about 6 cents to 10 cents. Obviously, I am not doing that. Other information on the web indicates that the cost should be the same or lower. So I am definitely NOT impressed by Inspire Energy. |

Scam!! Dont do it!
The sales person who does not even introduce himself as a sales rep, misleads you to make you believe this is part of the state to become green and they are just making sure you get clean energy. LIE! You are actually signing up to a service with a lot of misled and fake information most likely from the rep who are usually very pushy and aggressive to get you to sign up. Its also very intrusive the fact that they come to your house and try to scam you as Ive had at least 7 of them come already and they wont leave! Which I feel its harassment. Unless you say a thousand times, they wont leave. You literally have to shut the door in their faces at point for them to leave you alone and leave your home. The reps dont even leave their masks on and grab your phone without even asking for permission and get really close to you. The rep also Kept asking me very personal questions such as how much I make weekly with my job and kept looking at my phone. Also he wouldnt let me read the terms of the contract that he said was just to make sure I was at least 18. Another lie!! That contract was an agreement to get the service. I could on for hours on how many Kira he said. All of the approach and service is just beyond wrong, disrespectful and a complete lie/scam. If they want to sell a service, at least come clean about and tell the truth about what your trying to sell and let the people decide on whether they want to get it or not, dont just straight up lie about it. |

SCAM!!!!
DO NOT ENROLL IN INSPIRE, especially if you live in Maryland. You are paying for nothing. My bill this past month was $188 for electric charges to Pepco and $430.98 to inspire for supply charges. YOU DO NOT NEED a 3rd party supplier - INSPIRE - in Maryland. Pepco has informed me my total bill for electricity would only be $188, no charge for "supply". Basically I am paying $488 to Inspire for NOTHING! |

I just remembered why I don't answer my door anymore
Lot of fancy talk to get you to verify on the spot. No clear way I could find to cancel. If someone from Inspire comes knocking, politely ask for literature so you can decide after researching. It felt like a scam with a lot of half truths. People like this give renewable energy a bad rap. |

Dishonest company! Rip off
Visited BJs and was greeted by 3 salesman who quoted me a price that I confirmed three times. Two weeks later got a bill that my rate will be double. Called customer service and they just apologized. I will be canceling this service. Very misleading Nd dishonest. They said what they had to say to get me to sign the contract. |

Inspire's energy rates double PEPCO
Buyer beware! I spoke with PEPCO and learned that Inspire's energy rates are double PEPCO's rates. I was paying almost 16 cents per kilowatt hour versus under 8 cents for PEPCO's energy rates. PEPCO did say that there are third party providers who charge lower than PEPCO, so I will explore further. I was told energy rates were the same by the Inspire sales team and of course would prefer renewable energy where it's available. I recommend against going to Inspire. |
